OMG… too cute!!
Make sure he’s either sucking on a bottle or a pacifier when the plan takes off, and when the plane lands. Try to keep him awake until your on the plane… hopefully he’ll sleep for a couple hours.
CUTE!!!
tips for flying, take extra wipes, a pacifier for settling (sucking does wonders to relieve ear pressure during take off and landing ) and a toy for entertainment
He is so cute! And all grown up. Time does fly, I hope you enjoy it.
I flew when my youngest was about the same age. It went fairly easy. Make sure during take off he is nursing. The sucking helped with the ear pressure so I made sure he was hungry. I did speak to his doctor first for advice or what ifs.
The only HUGE mistake I made was on the return flight not having enough protection for between us when he had a massive, down both legs (and my front) poo. I had to make family wait at the gate while I cleaned us up.
Good luck and Happy Holidays!
Put wipes in a plastic baggie. Then put that plastic baggie inside another baggie with a diaper and disposable changing pad in it. When you go to the bathroom that way you don’t have to take the whole diaper bag, only one set of the changing supplies (take a few of course!) This is great for on the plane. Make sure you take extra clothing for both of you too. Good luck, its really much easier at 5 months than it is with toddlers!
