Cheap way to travel back and forth from US to England?
MB asked:
I live in England and travel to the US a lot, and I keep buying round-trip tickets originating in England. But tickets originating in the US are always much cheaper. So … could I fly one way to the US and then just keep buying round trips from the US? Another option: Could I book one long trip from England– e.g. from May to September, and then when I’m in the US buy a shorter round trip , from the US back to England, for dates within that trip, e.g. June to August?

I do the opposite… I travel from the US to the UK a lot. I honestly don’t think there’s a CHEAP way to travel, unfortunately. You could just go during the off-season, or join a frequent flyer program.
Just notice the trends. I’ve noticed that it’s a lot cheaper to travel in April/May than it is to travel in Sept/Oct. Those were my preferred months. You can check out the prices during your preferred months and see if there’s a trend.
